We are pleased to have participated in the CIC–IFSWF Sustainability Workshop held in Beijing, hosted by China Investment Corporation in partnership with the IFSWF (International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds).

SOFAZ was represented at the workshop by our Sustainability Officers, Nigar Azizova, CFA and Ali Huseynov. Nigar Azizova contributed to the discussions by presenting SOFAZ’s ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) journey from the initial development of its framework to the deepening of ESG integration across asset classes. She highlighted advancements in due diligence, transparency, and collaboration with external managers, while also addressing key challenges encountered along the way.

The workshop convened IFSWF members to exchange insights on sustainable investing practices, ESG transparency, and effective disclosure and communication across sovereign wealth funds.
