As part of its team-building programme, the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) organised the "Learn, Try, Apply: AI Awareness Seminar" to support the continuous development of employees' skills, foster an innovative mindset, and strengthen collaboration across the organisation.
Developed through the collaborative efforts of SOFAZ employees, the seminar provided participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in integrating artificial intelligence tools into daily workflows, enhancing productivity, streamlining routine tasks, and supporting more effective decision-making. Through interactive sessions and practical exercises, participants explored the capabilities of a range of AI tools, effective prompt engineering techniques, the principles of the safe and ethical use of artificial intelligence, and practical approaches to leveraging these technologies across business processes.
The seminar programme featured presentations by Vadim Pshenichniy, Advisor to CEO; Elman Karimli, Head of the Information Security Division; Ramin Shikhaliyev, Director of the Information Systems and Digital Operations Department; and Mustafa Ahmadov, Data Analyst at the same department, who played a key role in developing the seminar programme.
The seminar also featured a keynote address by Naqash Tahir, Managing Director at PGIM and Founder and Chairman of ReimTech, which is a forum for the Real Estate Investment Management Technology peers across Europe. During his remarks, he shared perspectives on the opportunities created by artificial intelligence in today's rapidly evolving workplace and highlighted the importance of collaboration in advancing digital transformation.
