Public Relations

The activity of the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) in public relations sphere is directed to efficient management and proper coordination of the public relations of SOFAZ and meeting the demands of the public in receiving the Fund-related information.

SOFAZ is always open to answering the questions of the public, and responds to all verbal and written Fund-related enquiries, within the timeframe prescribed by the “Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Right to obtain information”.

SOFAZ’s public relations are managed in accordance with its Information Policy, approved on 13 March, 2017. The Information Policy of SOFAZ serves the purpose of efficient management of SOFAZ’s information exchange with stakeholders and the public and protecting and developing its transparent state entity reputation. The main principles of the Information Policy are the following:

Observance of the laws of Azerbaijan Republic and the norms and standards regulating the freedom of the information

Protection of SOFAZ's interests, ensuring transparency of the Fund

;

3.

Provision of the information to the public providing protection of the principle of fairness in the attitude to mass media

;

4.

Ensuring accuracy and reliability of the disclosed information

;

5.

Confidentiality of the information not belonging to SOFAZ

;

Today, many media outlets consider SOFAZ as a government organization that responds to their inquiries in a timely and detailed manner.

SOFAZ's web site provides auto-enquiry to ensure accountability between SOFAZ and the society, and to build closer contacts with journalists.
