The State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) is a sovereign wealth fund established in 1999 to manage and safeguard Azerbaijan's oil and gas revenues for the benefit of current and future generations. The Senior Specialist role at SOFAZ's Information Security and Cybersecurity Division offers an opportunity to shape the Fund's cybersecurity strategy and management. Responsibilities include analyzing security risks, developing and implementing defense strategies, and responding to incidents to support SOFAZ's mission of managing Azerbaijan's sovereign wealth securely. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners is crucial for preparing security audits, assessments, and sharing insights on emerging threats and security technologies

What You Will Do?:

• Conduct information security risk analysis and develop defense strategies;

• Develop and enhance incident response processes and minimize damages;

• Perform security audits and risk assessments;

• Provide recommendations to improve security measures;

• Communicate with internal and external parties on security issues and oversee the implementation of security measures;

• Prevent and respond to security incidents;

• Evaluate the effectiveness of security measures and report findings;

• Stay informed about new threats and security technologies.

What You Will Need?:

• A higher education degree (preferably in Cybersecurity or IT);

• At least 2 years of experience in cybersecurity;

• Strong knowledge of information security and network security;

• Skills in incident management and risk assessment.

Who Are We Looking For?:

We are looking for a professional with a solid background in cybersecurity, excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills. Experience with security protocols, threat detection, and mitigation strategies is required. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic team environment are key. Fluency in Azerbaijani is a must and a good command of the English language is desirable.
