State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan received on August 21, 2006 AZN 5,3 mln. from State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan in accordance with the Law “On 2006 State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan” that envisages additional funds to be received by SOFAZ from the price difference between the contract value and domestic wholesale price of exported oil when the price of oil is over USD 40 per a barrel.

The Fund’s 2006 budget includes revenue item of AZN 46.2 million related to the aforesaid price difference.
