On June 20, 2006, the next meeting of the International Advisory Group (IAG) to the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative was held at Lancaster House, London. Mr. Shahmar Movsumov, the Executive Director of the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan represented Azerbaijan government at the meeting.

The members of the IAG discussed the group’s report to the 3rd International EITI Conference to be held in Oslo, Norway on October 2006. Confirming the matrixes on validation of the EITI implementation the IAG members also discussed the future governance of the Initiative. The group’s decision of a 20 person EITI Board and the EITI Secretariat to be established will be discussed at Oslo Conference.
