Shahmar Movsumov, the Executive Director of the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) received on June 7, 2007 the delegation headed by Ms. Anita Utseth, Royal Norwegian Deputy Minister of Petroleum and Energy.

Sh. Movsumov informed the guests about the Fund's activity and implementation of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative in Azerbaijan.

Ms. Anita Utseth emphasized that the works done by Azerbaijan for implementation of EITI was very important for the whole process.

The similarities and differences between oil funds of Azerbaijan and Norway and other issues of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting.
